Kyocera announces first Green Partner Plus

Lincoln-based Danwood Group leads partners in new environmental accreditation

Danwood has become the first reseller to earn Kyocera Mita's highest environmental accreditation, Green Partner Plus.

Andy Brown, marketing director at Danwood Group, said: "Good environmental credentials are important to our customers and helping them achieve their goals is important to us."

Tracey Rawling Church (pictured), director of brand and reputation at Kyocera Mita, said the award recognised Danwood's genuine commitment to greening its own organisation as well as supporting customers that wish to go green.

The environmental accreditation is on offer to partners that meet criteria covering operations, purchasing, management systems and customer education. There are two levels of accreditation that partners can achieve - Green Partner, and the more stringent Green Partner Plus.

The aim is to green the entire supply chain. Channel partners have to show they are adopting certain environmentally friendly standards regarding office working, sourcing and recycling.

They also need to prove that they are informing customers about responsible use of office equipment, WEEE recycling and Kyocera's toner return service.
