Damovo to heap Payne on mid-market rivals
Integrator promotes Simon Payne to deputy managing director role to aid its push into private sector
Integrator Damovo has unveiled plans to push deeper into the mid-market after appointing a new UK deputy managing director.
The Cisco, Microsoft and Astra partner has promoted Simon Payne (pictured) to the new role, which covers sales, marketing, portfolio and service management operations. He was previously managing director of Damovo Global Services.
Damovo has a strong public sector pedigree but said Payne's promotion would aid its hunt for more commercial business.
Payne said: "Over the next 12 to 18 months we will be aggressively increasing our client base in the commercial sector to match our ongoing success in the public sector. We have already achieved this in sectors such as finance, media and legal, where 70 per cent of the top legal companies are Damovo UK clients."
Damovo managing director Paul Butcher said: "There are very few companies like Damovo that combine real understanding of a client's needs with such a depth of ICT experience.
"We feel that with Simon on board we can really start using this as a differentiator, especially as we look to make a bigger push into the mid-market private sector."
