Trustmarque unveils Office 365 initiative
VAR launches its Cloud Readiness Assessment Programme as it looks to encourage more firms to make the switch
Trustmarque has taken the wraps off a new Cloud Readiness Assessment Programme as it looks to grab a share of the Office 365 market.
The programme, which will run through August and September, will help companies to identify the options available and examine the suitability of moving to an Office 365 environment.
Tom Greed, Microsoft alliance manager at Trustmarque, said: “There is a lot of hype around Office 365, and cloud in general, so this campaign is really designed to cut through all of that and get to the reality.
“This programme will help customers understand what Office 365 can deliver, the pros and cons, and whether it is right for their business. For example, if you have a geographically diverse workforce that is on the move a lot of the time, then the capability to access data on the move in this way would be very appealing," he added. "On the other hand, if you work at a hospital, most staff are based on-site and the data stored is highly confidential, so the RoI is reduced. Our main aim is to help our customers to see what is most relevant for them.”
Trustmarque has been bolstering its cloud capabilities following its acquisition of Nimbus Technology Systems earlier this year.
The VAR has also increased the number of Microsoft Certified Professionals to more than 50, and has added to its Microsoft Gold competency haul, now holding Gold in volume licensing, desktop and software asset management, as well as Silver status server platform and mid-market solution provider.
Mark Penny, strategic sales and partner director at Trustmarque, added: “This has been a great year for Trustmarque’s Microsoft business, and for the business as a whole. Investment has been at the top of the agenda as we focus on bringing skills and experience in-house.
“We do not partner to get accreditations, we look to acquire those competencies ourselves through up-skilling existing staff and through investing in new talent. Our dedication to enhancing our skill set clearly sets us apart from our competitors,” he claimed.
