Lowe leaves Check Point for Cyber-Ark

Nick Lowe ends eight-year stint at security vendor to join identity management outfit

Check Point's western European sales boss Nick Lowe is leaving the security vendor after eight years to join privileged identity management specialist Cyber-Ark.

Lowe joined Check Point in 2003 as UK country manager before rising through the ranks into a pan-European role.

He will start at Cyber-Ark on 1 September in the newly created position of EMEA vice president.

Talking to ChannelWeb, Lowe said: "I wish Check Point all the best. I had the chance to move on and be part of a management team that is building up a company. This is purely a career opportunity that I didn't want to let go."

He added: "Cyber-Ark has the ability to manage and provide policy and audit for an individual privileged user. It is a rapidly growing market that is as attractive to security partners as it is to infrastructure partners."

In a statement, Check Point confirmed that Lowe will leave Check Point at the end of August and wished him all the best.

"Check Point UK's operations and structure will continue unchanged, with UK managing director Terry Greer-King reporting directly to Bruno Darmon, Check Point's vice president of European Sales," the statement added.
