Logicalis crowned Master of Cisco TelePresence domain

Integrator continues its video journey by bagging vendor's top badge

Integrator Logicalis has bagged Cisco's top certification on its high-end video technology.

The Slough-based VAR has been awarded TelePresence Video Master Authorised Technology Provider (ATP) status by the networking giant.

The Master ATP programme requires partners to demonstrate top-notch networking, video and unified communications skills, as well as the ability to deliver technology regionally, nationally, or even globally. VARs must also show they have well-developed services capabilities.

Richard McLeod, senior director of collaboration for worldwide channels at Cisco, said: "Logicalis has made an investment in the sales, technical and life cycle services capabilities needed to deliver the industry's most comprehensive and interoperable Cisco TelePresence video portfolio."

The integrator boosted its video expertise in January through the acquisition of West Yorkshire-based VAR Direct Visual. Logicalis' buyout of the Tandberg specialist came a year after Cisco acquired the videoconferencing vendor.

Damien Hicks, director of Logicalis Video, pointed out that the TelePresence Master ATP badge builds on his firm's recent launch of its ImmersiV video-as-a-service offering.

"Video is becoming integral to the way businesses work – extending the way executives communicate with customers and suppliers, and facilitating a more collaborative approach," he added. "Logicalis continues to both invest and innovate in video. This accreditation by Cisco is another indication of our intent to provide the best possible service to our customers."
