Veracity announces Mayflex distribution deal

Birmingham to be centre of UK distribution for IP video portfolio

IP video specialist Veracity has named Birmingham-based cabling, networking and security distributor Mayflex as a master distributor.

Gary Harmer, director of sales for the UK electronic security division at Mayflex, said in a statement: "We believe our customers will benefit from Veracity products to help with their IP surveillance projects. Our employees understand the complexities of planning and installing IP cameras and can advise our customers."

Veracity products include Ethernet and Power over Ethernet (PoE) extenders, IP camera installation tools and Power and Ethernet over Coax devices.

Alastair McLeod, managing director of Veracity UK, said the company believed Mayflex understood the needs of IP surveillance installers and integrators.

"Mayflex ticks all the boxes needed to capitalise on the growth in IP surveillance," he added.

Mayflex reported revenue of £60m for 2010, a year in which it also opened Middle East sales and services centres in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Dubai.
