Altodigital wins spot on West Mercia framework
Four-year contract to support Telford and Wrekin, Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire
Print and document solutions provider Altodigital has been awarded a place on a four-year framework agreement with the West Mercia Supplies (WMS) buying consortium.
The deal is to supply print and optimised control software to consortium members – local authorities in Telford and Wrekin, Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire – representing councils that serve 1.2 million people across the region.
David Vere-Hoose, head of major contracts and tenders director at Altodigital, said the reseller had worked hard to understand how the different local authorities operated and how to deliver the best value for them.
"We have a lot of experience of working with local authorities and councils to provide the right mix of printer hardware and software monitoring services," he added. "We understand their desire to reduce costs, improve service delivery and reduce IT staff input across the print fleet."
WMS provides consumables, office equipment and the like to schools and colleges, local government offices and local charities.
Stuart Laynes, spokesman for WMS, said: "Altodigital was included on the new framework arrangement after a fully compliant tender process conducted under EU procurement rules. Its tender response scored highly against the contract award criteria."
Altodigital partner brands include Equitrac, Ricoh, Toshiba and Kyocera Mita. It will also provide a team of managers to support individual councils and the efficient operation of their print and software monitoring set-up.
