Ingram Micro Logistics is right on Trendnet

Distribution behemoth ties up deal with networking vendor to supply its products to its EMEA channel partners

Ingram Micro Logistics has tied up an EMEA-wide fulfillment contract with networking vendor Trendnet to supply its entire distribution and retail network in the region.

Under the terms of the agreement, the vendor's products – which are tailored to the SMB market – will be shipped from Ingram's distribution centre in the Netherlands to its channel network.

Robert Gifford, executive vice president of global logistics at Ingram, said: "The agreement with Trendnet proves again that we are bringing a concept to manufacturers where they can leverage our capabilities and improve on the quality of their supply chain.

"Trendnet is one of the many opportunities we started up in EMEA in the past year and shows that our logistics model is starting to be adopted in the EMEA market."

Lilian Yao, operations director at Trendnet, said: "Working with Ingram Micro is not new to us as they are a distributor of our products, but as we were looking for a European warehouse that could support our growth, we compared them to some of their competitors and they showed flexibility and scalability that none of the others could offer.

"Ingram's knowledge of the EMEA markets enables us to grow our market share," she added.
