Haydock-based reseller up to speed on Cisco's data centre proposition

Intrinsic Technology has become the latest Cisco Gold partner to net the vendor's Advanced Unified Computing technology specialisation.

The badge allows the Haydock-based reseller to sell, design and deploy Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) B-series solutions.

Billy Haining, head of Cisco business at Intrinsic, said: "We can now offer our customers access to chassis and modular-based Cisco servers, and they can have added confidence in our ability to deliver a scalable and flexible unified computing infrastructure for their virtualised and cloud computing data centre needs."

Intrinsic, which recently underwent a £30m MBO, was recertified as a Cisco Gold partner last month for the third year running.

Cisco leapt into the server market in 2009 with the launch of UCS and racked up its 500th European win in February, in tandem with Computacenter.
