Cyberoam goes back to school
India-based UTM vendor announces UK education drive with NESCOT college
Cyberoam is aiming to swell its quota of UK authorised engineers through a tie-up with a Surrey-based college.
The India-based unified threat management vendor has appointed the North East Surrey College of Technology (NESCOT) as its first Master UK training academy.
Under the tie-up, NESCOT will provide Cyberoam certified security courses to its IT and networking students. Together with Cyberoam partner Secutel, the Epsom-based college has also been tasked with increasing Cyberoam's network of regional training academies.
NESCOT will offer two levels of certification - Cyberoam Certified Security Professional (CCNSP) and Cyberoam Certified Security Expert (CCNSE), which is the advanced level.
Sage Lal, head of business and computing at NESCOT, said: "NESCOT has been able to offer courses that meet the educational needs of our students. For the students who opt for network security as a career, we could not find a better technology than Cyberoam."
Ricky Knights, UK channel manager at Cyberoam, said "Identity-based technology is going to be required by all kind of organisations. Students taking this course will definitely have an edge over others."
