Specialist VAR Colyer adds Canon printers

Creative sector specialist to resell full range

Specialist London reseller Colyer has signed up to provide Canon's range of printers.

According to Canon, this is the first time in the reseller's 92-year history that it will sell Canon kit, giving the latter access to design firms, architects, broadcasting studios and publishers.

Matthew Searle, director of the partner channel at Canon, said the deal would expand its presence in the creative sector.

"The sector is a key focus area for Canon and we are confident that the combination of Canon's printing solutions and Colyer's reputation and contacts within the sector are among the best in the business," he added.

Nigel Southey, director of Colyer, claimed the creative sector has high expectations of goods and services.

"A standard 'office copier' response is simply not good enough," he said.

Colyer's customers include M&C Saatchi, TMP Worldwide, DDB, CNBC, the British Library and Conran Design Group, for which it provides printing, disaster recovery, hosting, graphics offerings and consumables.

The reseller has its own print room and also specialises in colour management and industry-standard proofing.
