Logica grabs IBM veteran Bullard for UK CEO role

Gary Bullard to replace Experian-bound Craig Boundy as UK head of software and services firm

Software and services giant Logica is to appoint IBM stalwart Gary Bullard as its new UK chief executive.

Bullard replaces outgoing UK boss Craig Boundy, who is departing at the end of 2011 after three years with the firm. Boundy is to take on a new role as UK and Ireland managing director of credit services outfit Experian.

Bullard, who starts his new role today, joins the Reading-based company after a 33-year IT career, the majority of which was spent at IBM. During 26 years at Big Blue, he rose to become general manager of the vendor's Global Solutions unit.

"Logica has been significantly transformed, with great wins and new people joining the organisation over the past few years," said Bullard.

Andy Green, Logica chief executive, added: "I am delighted to announce Gary's appointment as CEO UK today. His immediate appointment allows a smooth transition for our people and our clients before Craig's departure later this year."
