Ingram flies high with Cisco

Distributor's latest partner development programme offers several initiatives to its channel partners

Ingram Micro's UK business has opened the hangar doors on its Fly Higher programme in partnership with Cisco.

According to the distribution giant, Fly Higher enables resellers to take part in a number of initiatives to bolster their knowledge of Cisco's products and services and comprises four elements.

Welcome on-board is designed to help resellers start off as a Cisco Registered partner with Ingram; Clear for take-off offers a basic support structure to help resellers build on their existing Cisco knowledge; En route rewards reseller sales and training activity through "fly mile" credits which can be accrued to earn participation in training and business development programmes, and finally Trim for speed, a sales acceleration programme designed to support resellers by transforming specialist knowledge into high-level sales through support.

The initiative is launched today in the UK with a day focused on registering resellers and explaining the benefits of joining.

Matt Sanderson (pictured), managing director of Ingram Micro UK, said: "Initial reactions to the programme have been extremely positive, with resellers recognising the growth opportunity and value it brings to their customers.

"The Fly Higher programme can play a vital role in connecting the needs of the SMB market with the capability of Cisco and Ingram."
