VAR acs guns for national Chamber of Commerce awards
Northampton-based reseller scooped the regional prize and is now in the running for two national awards in November
VAR acs Office Solutions is in the running for a £25,000 top prize if it wins a national British Chambers of Commerce competition.
The Northampton-based firm won two awards in the regional round of the 2011 Chamber Awards – Excellence in Customer Service and Excellence in People Development.
It is now up for the same two awards nationally on 24 November, with the top prize of £25,000 and runner-up prizes of £15,000 and £10,000 up for grabs.
Acs has recently celebrated its best year ever – seeing growth of 13 per cent – and is hoping to increase that to 50 per cent over the next three years. It has also ploughed a lot of investment into up-skilling its workforce in the past three years.
John Harley, joint managing director at the firm, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won these two awards, which are at the core of our values, developing highly talented people from the local area.
“These people then become real assets to the business and deliver quality customer service, which in turn provides the platform for our continued expansion, creating yet more opportunities for job creation, further fuelling our growth and success.”
Paul Griffiths, chief executive of the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are delighted to see acs win these two awards. The company has had a phenomenal year and to get recognition in the fields of customer service and people development is no mean feat. I wish them the best of luck for the national finals in November.”
