AVM Education completes £27m project
Bristol deployment puts audiovisual kit dockside
The education division of Audio Visual Machines (AVM) has completed a £27m kit-out of learning areas at Bristol's MShed museum.
According to the integrator, its renovation covered supply and installation of audiovisual gear in two lecture theatres at MShed, a museum of industry in a former transit shed by Bristol docks.
"The project involved installation of a large electrically operated projection screen, high-brightness widescreen projector, zoned audio system via an audio mixer processor, four wireless microphones, one lectern microphone, a DVD player and hearing loop," AVM said in a statement.
"This system was fully integrated with a wall-mounted Crestron control panel and an AMX media switcher."
Ray Barnett, spokesman for MShed, said extensive renovation of the building had become a necessity.
"The audiovisual element of the project has provided an easy-to-use, modern and interactive environment. AVM Education was able to deliver this at short notice and worked hard to ensure it was delivered within the given timescales and budget," Barnett added.
AVM, which claims to be the only audiovisual supplier approved by Bristol City Council, has also scheduled a technology showcase at MShed on 9 November.
