Midwich taps into interactive buzz with new unit
Distributor lifts veil on interactive technology division
Distributor Midwich has launched an interactive technology division amid heightened buzz around upcoming product launches in the sector.
The Diss-based distributor has worked in the interactive technology space for years but the slew of new products tabled for release convinced it to set up a dedicated unit.
Products available through the division will include the Samsung and Microsoft-developed SUR40 solution (Surface 2, pictured), which Midwich said is tipped for launch in Q1 of 2012 .
Other new interactive solutions the division will showcase include a Sharp 70in interactive solution for less than £6,000, LED touchscreen technology from Samsung and NEC and new solutions from Ilyama and Optoma.
Unveiled today, the division is supported by 15 internal and external specialists.
Lee Harris, interactive product manager at Midwich, commented: "We have spent many years taking an array of interactive solutions to market, but with Midwich on the verge of being first to market with so many new solutions, now is the time to put all the existing ones together with the new ones under one focused division."
