Glasgow reseller wins Oki award
Russell Hamilton beats off four VARs to take best-performing reseller prize
Glasgow office products reseller Russell Hamilton has scooped a top reseller prize from vendor Oki.
According to Oki, the prize is for the best-performing UK reseller throughout the first half of 2011. Other top contenders included Printware, DMS, Business Systems North Wales, and D & E Office.
David Irving (pictured above right, receiving the award from Oki corporate account director Ray Stewart), managing director of business services at Russell Hamilton, said the company was surprised and delighted by the award.
"The Oki ES product range has sold extremely well for us over the past couple of years and the range and running costs have been a big hit with our customers. We have served West and Central Scotland for 40 years and have partnered with Oki for the past 15," Irving said.
Nick Munton, UK sales director at Oki, said the decision was not based on spend alone.
"It is important to also look at growth, new business, promotion of the brand, synergy with us, working relationships and value-add," he added. "Russell Hamilton has also looked at our range of products rather than just single lines. In addition, Russell Hamilton works closely with us, has an open, flexible approach and promotes our brand professionally.
"It has recognised the market sectors to which our products are suited and developed those areas to their maximum potential."
The prize? An Oki ES8451cdtn multifunction printer.
