Computacenter bags contract extension with legal firm
VAR has IT contract with Eversheds renewed for another five years
Law firm Eversheds has renewed VAR Computacenter's IT services contract for another five years.
The new agreement comes into force at the start of next year, with Computacenter providing life cycle management services, end user support, datacentre hosting and remote management tools to 4,000 of the law firm's employees.
The deal covers 25 of Eversheds' 46 offices across the globe, and is based on a utility-style contract that will allow the firm to terminate or modify certain services according to its business requirements.
Mike Norris, chief executive officer at Computacenter, said: "[Eversheds] will only pay for the IT that it needs while ensuring it has the foundations needed to support the innovations in technology the firm has traditionally driven through the business."
Paul Caris, chief information officer at Eversheds, added: "We have been working with Computacenter for the past five years, and were keen to maintain the high service levels and quality of systems while facilitating greater agility within the contract."
