ConvergeOne adds trio for growth drive

Manchester reseller adds techie and account management skills with triple hire

Mancunian VAR ConvergeOne is looking to push on with its growth plans after nabbing a trio of pedigree employees.

The Cisco, VMware and NetApp partner has appointed 14-year channel veteran Paul Nock as datacentre consultant. He joins following a seven-year stint at fellow Manchester-based rival ANS Group and brings with him a certification as a Cisco Unified Computing Support Specialist. He also holds badges from NetApp and VMware.

Joining alongside Nock is housing technology specialist Paul Day, who will take on a role as a technical design authority, serving customers primarily in the south of the country. Day spent seven years working at the Metropolitan Housing Partnership, where he oversaw third-line support for the body's network and telephony infrastructure. He holds technical certifications from Nortel, Novell and Microsoft.

Long-time Vodafone employee Clare McKnight has also joined ConvergeOne, in the post of client services manager. During her 10 years at the mobile network operator she managed accounts including Timpson's and the General Medical Council. At her new employer, she will look after customers including Pannone, Morson Group and First Step Finance.

Mark Johnson, managing director of ConvergeOne, said: "The recent key appointments demonstrate our commitment to an aggressive growth strategy. All three new recruits are experienced and highly qualified and we are confident that their abilities will further strengthen our core offering and our client support."
