Ebuyer launches extended warranty service
Online reseller teams up with warranty provider SquareTrade to protect customer purchases
Online reseller Ebuyer has joined with consumer electronics warranty provider SquareTrade to provide customers with extended cover for their purchases.
The deal means Ebuyer customers will now, for the first time, have the option of purchasing extended warranties for any products they buy via the site.
SquareTrade claims its warranties, which cover accidental damage and repair costs, are 40 per cent cheaper than the market average.
Marc Faulkner, product manager at Ebuyer, said: "We have never deemed warranties as being worth the money before, but SquareTrade [offers] affordable protection and good service too.
"Ebuyers know that we will only endorse quality products and that includes warranties," he added.
Vince Tseng, managing director of SquareTrade UK, said: "If you have invested in gadgets or equipment, the last thing you want is for a nasty knock or bump to end up ruining your enjoyment.
"Warranties provide that level of protection and peace of mind, but that should not cost the Earth," he concluded.
