Quest rounds up top- and middle-tier partners
Acquisitive software giant claims to moved more than 600 VARs into the upper echelons of its Quest Partner Circle programme
Quest Software claims that more than 600 partners have transitioned to the middle and top tier of its recently overhauled partner programme.
The software giant launched its Quest Partner Circle (QPC) programme last July to accommodate all the VARs it has gained via its many vendor acquisitions over the past decade.
Speaking to ChannelWeb at the time of QPC's launch, Michael Sotnick, vice president of worldwide channels and alliances at Quest, said the firm has always preserved the channel programmes its acquisition targets have in place.
However, with its partner network now exceeding 4,500 VARs, the time has come to roll out a single programme covering all of the firm's brands.
"We are going to bring all these programmes together into one that shares a single taxonomy," said Sotnick.
"We are opening up the aperture so partners can see the entire product portfolio."
In a statement today, the vendor confirmed that more than 600 partners have now been re-classified as Premier and Elite (middle and top tier, respectively), under the terms of the new programme.
On reaching this milestone, Sotnick said: "The response has been overwhelmingly positive, and partners are taking full advantage of the global structure to extend their businesses into adjacent solution areas.
"The Quest Partner Circle structure now serves as a strategic component of our go-to-market planning worldwide."
