Intercept IT bags NetApp director
Virtualisation VAR adds former NetApp boss Mark Roberts to board of directors
Virtualisation VAR Intercept IT has poached former NetApp director Mark Roberts and handed him a seat on its board of directors.
In his new role, Roberts will oversee the London-based VAR's sales strategy and, in turn, will be responsible for driving the adoption of Intercept's hosted desktop service.
Before joining Intercept, Roberts was NetApp's alliance sales and business development director for EMEA. He has also held management roles at vendor giants Oracle and Microsoft.
He is the third industry veteran to join Intercept this year, after the firm appointed former RES Software marketing manager Ron Grevink and Accenture programme manager Benjamin Turner back in May.
"I am very pleased to accept this prestigious position at Intecept IT," said Roberts. "The company has unparalleled expertise as a cloud computing and virtualisation service provider, and has incredible, long-standing customer relationships."
Richard Gilder, chief executive of Intercept, added: "Mark's combined expertise and passion aligned impeccably with Intercept IT's mission and he will make an exceptional addition to the board of directors."
