Logicalis supports Row for Freedom campaign
Integrator makes massive donation to support female rowing team across the Atlantic
Logicalis has thrown its weight behind the fight against human trafficking, by donating £10,000 to a team of female rowers planning to cross the Atlantic to raise awareness.
Julia Immonen, founder of Sport Against Trafficking, picked up the cheque (pictured), and will lead the first all-female crew of six to row across the Atlantic from La Gomera (Canary Islands) to Barbados. It is estimated the trip will take 35-45 days.
Immonen said: “I was delighted to accept Logicalis’ sponsorship cheque on behalf of the Row for Freedom team and we are excited to put this contribution to good use in the following weeks.”
Mark Starkey, commercial director at Logicalis UK, said: “Logicalis is incredibly proud to sponsor Sport Against Trafficking in its Row for Freedom campaign.
“This is a truly compelling charitable activity that will help the lives of thousands of children around the world and, as an international organisation, we are extremely proud to be part of this international and highly challenging endeavour.”
