Storage Fusion outlines channel plans

ISV wants to use parent company's financial backing to fuel channel growth

Avisen-owned independent software vendor Storage Fusion plans to use its parent company's financial backing to support its push into the channel.

The firm, which was acquired by Avisen in April 2010, specialises in storage analytics technology, and boasts partnerships with vendors IBM, Microsoft, VMware and Hitachi Data Systems.

Its flagship Storage Resource Analysis (SRA) platform can be used by VARs and managed service providers to carry out SAN audits, capacity planning and virtualisation projects. The product was also recently rejigged to allow it to be sold as a software-as-a-service prosposition.

Peter White, operations director at Storage Fusion, said the firm has been able to focus more on its long-term growth plans since it was acquired by Avisen.

"The new focus on vendor and channel partners will give us the resources we need to take full advantage of the current need for visibility in storage environments that end users have been telling us about," added White.
