Didata confirms UK management shake-up

Integrator rubber-stamps appointments of new UK boss and sales chief, while Stafford Hunt joins as solutions director

Dimension Data has announced a trio of appointments to its UK management line-up including a new managing director, sales director and solutions boss.

Long-time UK sales director Calvin Goom has been confirmed as UK managing director, having been performing the role since former UK boss Ton van Horssen departed in the spring. Goom has been with Didata for eight years and, earlier in his career, spent more than a decade at Computacenter. He has now been charged with ensuring that group-wide strategies are effectively deployed in this country.

John Iandolo, who has been with the integrator for four years, stepped into Goom's role as UK sales chief over the summer, and has now been formally unveiled as UK sales director.

New arrival Stafford Hunt assumes a role as Didata's UK solutions director. The 25-year industry veteran has previously held posts at firms including Cable&Wireless, SunGard and T-Systems. In his new role he will be responsible for attracting and holding on to top-notch pre-sales staff and ensuring the VAR's UK portfolio aligns with the wider group.

Andrew Coulsen, chief executive of Didata Europe, expressed his delight at attracting "such talented and experienced people" to his firm's UK boardroom.

"In particular, Calvin Goom's contribution to the UK and European operations has been invaluable," he said. "Over the past few years he has overseen numerous strategic initiatives, and his commitment and drive have contributed significantly to the continuing success of the UK business."

Goom added: "I am pleased to welcome Stafford to Dimension Data, and John into his new role, and very much look forward to working alongside them. John's contribution to the success of the UK sales organisation has been substantial during his time at Dimension Data, and he has been an integral member of the sales leadership team."
