Online backup player courts tape VARs
Dublin-based vendor KeepItSafe plans to recruit 50 VARs over next six months
Managed online backup provider KeepItSafe wants to sign up 50 VARs over the next six months to its new UK partner programme.
The Dublin-based vendor specialises in the provision of managed online backup and disaster recovery services aimed at SMBs and enterprises.
The firm is on the hunt for managed service providers that want to branch out into online backup or VARs that are looking for an alternative to tape-based offerings.
In a statement, the vendor claimed online backup is a more reliable and convenient alternative to tape, which it describes as a "60-year-old technology that is susceptible to loss, theft and – according to Gartner – fails 71 per cent of the time".
Channel firms that sign up to the KeepItSafe partner programme will be provided with sales and marketing support, technical help and recurring revenue streams.
Eoin Blacklock, managing director of KeepItSafe, said: "The only truly scalable, reliable and secure way to back up the volumes of information organisations are producing today is online.
"We look forward to helping our partners capitalise on this growth, and encourage them to take advantage of our sales and marketing services and technical expertise."
