CompTIA lines up executive leadership council

Industry body appoints experienced channel players to represent vendor, reseller and distributor members

CompTIA has selected all its executive leadership council members to spearhead its UK Channel Community.

The UK Channel Community was formed earlier this year, following CompTIA's acquisition of the TCA, and offers a platform for resellers, distributors and vendors to focus on developing best practice, business education and resources for companies involved in the IT industry.

Chairing the executive council is Richard Tubb, who has worked in the IT industry for more than 15 years, and vice chair Lee Evans, owner of IT business Vital Network Solutions.

Other new members of the council include Paul Tomlinson, managing director of Mirus IT, and Mark Williams, managing director of Pensar IT Management.

Computer 2000 marketing director Andy Dow and Les Billing, non-exec director of HMD Electronics, represent the distribution membership. Representing the vendors are Jim Harrower, UK and Ireland sales manager at GFI Max, and Gavin Whitaker, software technical channel manager of EMEA at Hitachi Data Systems.

William Linard, senior manager of member engagement at CompTIA UK, said: “We are pleased to welcome top-level executives from across the full spectrum of the UK IT channel to take on the challenges that are unique to the IT market.”
