Maverick Europe to build training centre network
Distributor kicks off new plan with Munich audiovisual facility
Maverick has opened a €50,000 (£42,000) training facility in its Munich office, as part of a plan for a Europe-wide network of channel training centres.
According to Jon Sidwick, director of TDMaverick Europe, the facility (pictured, above) will be available to vendors and resellers that wish to offer audiovisual and IT infrastructure training to their customers.
"We have a strong reseller training programme under our AV Academy heading. We will be rolling out a consistent level of training in key technical areas across all nine TDMaverick countries. It makes absolute sense to invest in a network of training rooms across Europe," Sidwick (pictured, right) said.
Uwe Zeithammer, head of TDMaverick Germany, said the subsidiary was experiencing demand for training across many product areas, including interactivity, digital signage and networking technologies.
"Once we started discussing the training environment, we realised that not only was there a requirement for our technical specialists, which offer channel training, but also for vendors who wanted a best-in-class set-up to train resellers," Zeithammer said. "In addition, we have been approached by resellers wanting to train their staff and customers on bespoke offerings."
