Workspace management vendor partners with distribution newcomer Prianto

Workspace management vendor RES Software has signed a UK-wide deal with distribution newcomer Prianto.

The distributor was launched in the channel back in August and specialises in technologies that complement the virtualisation products offered by the likes of VMware, Citrix and Microsoft.

The deal makes Prianto the third distributor on RES' books, as it already has agreements in place with Arrow ECS and CDG UK.

In a statement, RES said the distributor will be responsible for recruiting new partners and providing its existing ones with technical and marketing support.

Chris Hammans, regional vice president for northern Europe at RES, also claimed the new deal could cut by half the time it takes for partners to get up to speed on its technology.

"We see Prianto as a valued partner in our growth strategy, based on the technical expertise that the company has at its disposal and its strong relationships with resellers and service providers," said Hammans.

"This appointment rounds out our distribution strategy for the UK extremely well."

Yuri Pasea, managing director of Prianto, added: "The company's technology extends our ability to deliver desktop management, virtualisation and IT automation solutions to our resellers and their customers."
