Steljes discounts Smart Board upgrades

Distributor fans sales of school projectors and newer interactive whiteboards (IWB)

Distributor Steljes has offered a discount for schools to replace certain Smart boards or rival products with Smart's 600 or 800 series boards and UF75 projectors.

According to Steljes, educational establishments are being offered up to £250 off the price when buying the Smart Board 600 or 800 interactive whiteboard (IWB) systems, or the Smart UF75 projector. Products eligible for the discount are the Smart Board 500 or 600 series, rival IWBs and any projector.

Martine Dodwell-Bennett (pictured), sales and marketing director at Steljes, said the upgrade programme is also an opportunity for resellers.

"We estimate that in the IWB market, there are about 69,000 Smart Board 500 series IWBs that are coming to the end of their lives and 30,000 competitor boards," she said.

The deal is available to school, colleges, universities and other educational institutions until 31 March.
