Intercept IT brings Christmas IT cheer to charity
VAR teams up with Computacenter and IGEL to supply essential IT to homeless charity Crisis during a special Christmas project
VAR Intercept IT has partnered with the Aimar Foundation to provide desktop services for homeless charity Crisis for its special Christmas project.
This will be the third year that Intercept has partnered with the Foundation for Crisis at Christmas.
Under the deal, the cloud specialist will provide its desktop service - OnlineDesktop - to the charity - which in turn allows the charity to offer essential IT skills to the homeless, as well as access to the vast information on the web to help them build a better life. It will also work alongside thin client hardware specialist IGEL and Computacenter to deliver all the IT services required.
The charity also ensures its guests are provided with hot meals, companionship, internet access, housing a support for what is a difficult and emotional time of year for many.
Simon Clark, chief executive of the Aimar Foundation, said: "We are delighted to be working with Intercept IT again, as part of our technology provisioning for Crisis at Christmas. The OnlineDesktop solution will play a vital role in ensuring guests at the Crisis centres have the latest solutions at their fingertips."
Richard Gilder, chief executive of Intercept IT said, "This is the third year we have supported the Crisis at Christmas project and we couldn't be more pleased to be helping such a worthy cause. The work of both the Aimar Foundation and Crisis has helped thousands of homeless guests to find safe shelter through the holidays and beyond."
