Hubbard to take C2000 reins as Gass moves up

Andy Gass says UK business is in good hands as he gets set to take European role

Computer 2000 boss Andy Gass has confirmed he will be taking a European role at parent Tech Data next month.

From 1 February, Tech Data's UK subsidiary will be run by Peter Hubbard, who joined C2000 as sales director last June after 10 years at Dell.

In his new role of regional senior vice president, Gass (pictured) will oversee Tech Data's operations in the UK and several other continental European territories.

Gass – who has spent the best part of the past two decades at C2000/Tech Data, including the last five as C2000 managing director – told ChannelWeb: "First and foremost, my role is to support Peter with the speed of progress and development that is happening in the UK right now and to keep the UK growing the way it has been.

"I am very confident Peter can take the business to the next level."

Gass indicated that C2000 is currently looking to fill the sales director post Hubbard vacates.
