Blue Chip aims for training double

Eleven consecutive years of growth sees VAR invest further in its training business, despite tough economy

After celebrating record growth last year, VAR Blue Chip plans to double its training capacity in 2012.

The firm has seen 11 consecutive years of growth, posting "record" £18m turnover in 2011, and claims its investment during a downturn is a sign of its confidence.

It became an Authorised Prometric Testing Center in 2007, offering a range of technical training courses and consultancy services to help businesses meet today's IT challenges.

Oliver Bruffell, training manager at Blue Chip, said: "2011 has been a great year, so we need to invest further by bringing additional capacity online.

"As well as our new city-centre site in Southampton, we are opening facilities further east along the M27 and at our head office in Poole."

He added: "Despite the tough market, we have continued to offer our clients the very best levels of service and this has set us apart from our competitors.

"Not only are we the largest training specialist in the Solent region, but one of the UK's leading providers. Demand is growing rapidly, so it is vital that we invest in extra, state-of-the-art square footage to accommodate this."
