Phoenix Software cheers sales spike
Microsoft LAR hauls in sales of £73.8m in its fiscal 2011
Phoenix Software has demonstrated there is good growth to be had from the software licensing game after posting a 15 per cent turnover hike.
The York-based Microsoft LAR hauled in sales of £73.8m in its financial year to October 2011, up from £64.5m a year earlier.
Both operating and after-tax profit were roughly flat at £2.9m and £2.2m respectively, while the dividend remained at £2m.
Founded in 1990, Phoenix has about 120 staff and works with a range of other software vendors including Adobe, CA, Citrix, Symantec and VMware.
In its annual accounts, the firm stated: "The directors are satisfied with the results of the last year's trading and intend that the company continues to trade in its traditional markets with a view to further increasing turnover and overall profitability in the forthcoming years."
