Varlink captures Casio business
Distributor signs deal to supply Casio's handheld data capture terminals to UK VARs
Varlink has added to its vendor stable by signing a deal to distribute Casio’s handheld data capture terminals.
In addition, EPoS Distributor – a sales division of York-based Varlink – will also distribute the vendor’s new Android EPOS system.
The Varlink deal covers a range of products from Casio, including the DT series of rugged mobile devices the DT-X7, DT-X30 and the IT-300 and IT-800.
The EPoS Distributor deal will cover the VX-100 Android-based operating system, which was released by Casio last month.
Mike Pullon (pictured), chief executive of Varlink, said: “Casio provides us not just with a competitive current product offering, but with a technology and product roadmap that encompasses Android that will provide our customers with significant opportunities. We look forwards to working with Casio to build a reseller channel of mobile computing and EPoS resellers in the UK.”
Guy Boxall, senior product marketing manager at Casio, added: “In this partnership with Varlink, Casio looks forwards to developing the VAR channel for both our handheld terminals and Android EPoS business solutions. With some new products recently launched and more coming to market in Q1, the timing of this agreement is very good.”
