Centrix pushes partners to get certified

Application monitoring vendor to wind down channel recruitment activities after bagging 15 new partners

Centrix Software is planning to mark the winding down of its partner recruitment activities by introducing certifications to its channel programme for the first time.

The vendor specialises in products which pinpoint applications that need to be retained by users undergoing Windows 7 or virtual desktop migrations.

The firm recently signed up a further 15 partners to its channel programme, but is now preparing to curtail its recruitment activities.

"We have around 50 partners in the UK now," said Lewis Gee, vice president of worldwide sales.

"They include resellers that focus purely on virtualisation, partners that have broader interest in the desktop and everything that falls between those two camps."

"We will continue to grow that number, but not at the same rate or to the same extent that we did at the end of last year."

In particular, the firm will be turning its attention to courting the Microsoft LAR community, as well as the software giant's Gold competency desktop partners.

To support its burgeoning partner network, Centrix is also building its management team and partner programme.

"We have been investing heavily in the company, with new people joining the channel team – including Sarah Wyatt, who has been given a marketing role," explained Gee.

"Jason Jackson, our channel director, is looking at building in certifications to acknowledge all the different types of partners we now have in the partner programme."
