Arrow ECS in double Juniper supply coup

Distributor poaches Juniper business of Integralis and SecureData in one fell swoop

Distributor Arrow ECS has poached the Juniper business of two of the UK's top security integrators in quick succession, ChannelWeb understands.

Integralis, which is the UK's largest standalone security integrator, is understood to have ported the majority of its Juniper business to Arrow ECS following a supplier review at the end of last year.

SecureData is also known to have switched allegiances to Arrow ECS for its Juniper kit after conducting a similar tender process.

Juniper's other UK distributors are Avnet, Computerlinks, Azlan and Westcon.

Integralis turned over €81.1m (£67.8m) in the UK in its last reported financial year, while SecureData - which rebranded from MIS a year ago - boasts UK revenues of about £14m.

The double coup could be worth about $10m to Arrow ECS over the next year, sources indicated.

Neal Lillywhite, UK managing director at Integralis (pictured), stressed that his firm continues to have "excellent relationships" with several distributors, including Avnet and Arrow ECS.

"Integralis won a number of significant deals throughout 2011, which included a substantial piece of business being presented to Arrow," said Lillywhite.

"Following our review process at the end of last year, we will continue to build on the excellent partnerships that we have with distributors, all of whom will be presented with significant business opportunities based on the qualities and merit that they bring to the customer."
