Westcoastcloud stumps up for Webroot archiving migrations
Hosting provider offers to cover migration costs for former Webroot customers who adopt its email archiving product
Hosting provider Westcoastcloud is offering to cover the migration costs of Webroot customers caught out by the vendor's decision to exit the email archiving market.
Earlier this week, Webroot wrote to partners confirming speculation that it was exiting the email archiving market, having already migrated customers to cloud provider Sonian.
This followed an earlier missive, which advised customers that they have until the end of March to migrate their data to alternative email archiving vendors at a cost of £6.39 per GB.
However, Iomart-owned Westcoastcloud has agreed to cover this cost for end users who opt to use its BusinessMail email archiving platform before 1 May 2012.
Bill Strain, director at Westcoastcloud, said: "It is so important that when you select a supplier for a service as business critical as data storage, you engage with one that is committed to the UK market and has both the proven expertise and physical hosting infrastructure to support you for many years to come."
