Azlan completes management team as Dunn takes HP role
Distributor puts finishing touches to organisational reshuffle with appointment of Nigel Dunn to oversee key vendor's sales
Azlan has completed its divisional management line-up with the appointment of Nigel Dunn as director of its HP business unit.
Dunn has worked in the Computer 2000 operation on and off for a number of years, with spells at Azlan and Datech. Prior to being appointed to his new role, he was working for Tech Data as a strategic consultant across Europe. Leading the distributor's HP division, Dunn will be tasked with spearheading business development and growth plans.
"Azlan has an unrivalled reputation in value-added distribution and a tremendous opportunity to grow its business with HP," he said. "I am looking forwards to working with the team and with HP and its partner community to deliver the high standards that are always expected of Azlan."
As revealed by ChannelWeb, the Basingstoke-based distributor recently decided to align its business with the key vendor partnerships of IBM, Cisco and HP, rather than with technology areas. In November, Mark Wheeler was appointed to oversee Cisco sales, while Kevin Markwick was given the IBM gig.
Colin McGregor, director of Azlan, claimed Dunn is a great addition to the distributor's senior line-up.
"We are delighted that Nigel has agreed to join the Azlan management team," he said. "He brings with him many years of experience in value-added distribution and an outstanding record of achievement, and will play a key role in helping Azlan to deliver our growth aspirations with HP."
