Ex-Webroot partner chief back in the channel at Workbooks

Ian Moyse unveiled as web-based CRM and business apps specialist's new UK sales boss

Recently departed Webroot EMEA channel boss Ian Moyse has landed back in the channel as UK sales director of CRM player Workbooks.com.

The Reading-based vendor was founded five years ago and specialises in web-based CRM tools and other business applications. According to Moyse, a number of resellers use Workbooks as a central sales tool for their organisation, including Metadigm, Pentura and Northdoor.

The new UK sales boss added that VARs can use Workbooks' wares in-house as well as joining the firm's partner community. Resellers can enjoy "strong discounts up to 50 per cent, a share in indefinite renewals and the opportunity to deliver associated consulting, training and integration services", added Moyse.

"Customers across all verticals can benefit from what we are offering, especially in these financially turbulent times. Specifically in the IT Sector, for most IT resellers and integrators, sales and marketing activity consumes the lion's share of operational cost," he said. "The IT channel benefits particularly from Workbooks' breadth of functionality all the way from prospect to cash.

"Channels are all asking where their part to play in the cloud arena is and how they make money and retain client relationships. Well, for those wishing to take part we can make the cloud a profitable partnering opportunity for all concerned and a positive channel experience."

Moyse spent almost five years at Webroot as EMEA channel director before departing towards the end of last year. Last week ChannelWeb reported that he had joined the advisory board of apps channel matchmaker SaaSMax. Earlier in his career he worked for SurfControl, Eprise, NetIQ and CA.
