Krome joins Dell elite corps
VAR becomes one of just 20 Premier-level partners after vendor revamped Partner Director programme last year
VAR Krome has joined Dell’s top table by becoming one of just 20 Premier partners in the UK.
The accolade comes after Dell rejigged its Partner Direct programme last summer, which saw top-level partners reclassified to either Preferred or Premier partner based on training, accreditation and revenue.
To become a Premier partner, VARs must hold specialist certifications on at least two of Dell’s four technology tracks – servers, storage, networking and security, and systems management. Partners must also reach a revenue target significantly higher than Preferred-level partners.
Krome was previously classified as a Preferred partner with enterprise architecture certifications, but has now been confirmed as one of only 20 Premier Partners with specialisations in server and storage, including the full EqualLogic and Compellent solutions.
Bill O’Shea, commercial channel director at Dell, said: “Dell’s Premier Partner tier is reserved for a small number of partners in the UK. These are our partners that have strong enterprise (storage, servers and networking) capability and have invested significantly in our Partner Direct programme. We have a strong relationship with these partners and truly believe that they extend a top-class service to their customer base.
“We are delighted that Krome Technologies has joined this elite group as this organisation fits the criteria perfectly and is an important strategic partner for Dell in the UK.”
Sam Mager, sales director at Krome, said: “Krome is committed to providing clients with the highest possible quality of service. When Dell announced the changes to its partner programme in May, it was important to us to gain the Premier status as quickly as possible. By aligning ourselves as a top-level Premier partner with an organisation such as Dell, we are able to guarantee that our clients receive a supreme service, including comprehensive advice on the latest technology advancements, products, pricing and support.”
