More attendees than ever at ISE show in Amsterdam
Specialist audiovisual showcase maintains appeal through straitened times
This year's Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) audiovisual and systems integration show in Amsterdam was the largest ever, in terms of exhibitor and attendee numbers, organisers say.
A total 825 exhibitors occupied 11 halls of the Amsterdam RAI exposition centre. The show attracted a registered attendance of 40,869 over the three show days from Tuesday 31 January to Thursday 2 February, according to a statement from Mike Blackman, the managing director of organiser Integrated Systems Events.
"ISE is now clearly established as the best-attended event of its kind anywhere in the world," claimed Blackman. "To be able to post record numbers in every key area against an uncertain economic backdrop is a fantastic achievement – not just for ISE, but for the industry it serves.
"Beyond the statistics, the sheer excitement generated by so many professional people converging on a show full of dynamic new technologies created an atmosphere unsurpassed by any previous ISE."
There were 15 per cent more exhibitors than in 2011, and 17 per cent more attendees. Nearly 200 firms had not exhibited at the show before.
According to Integrated Systems Events, the show saw net floor space exceed 30,000 square metres, and more than 2,000 people registered for the conference, education and pre-show event programme.
