Chess knights battle to victory
Alderley Edge football team wins for the Prince's Trust
A charity team from voice and data provider Chess Telecom has won a trophy in a Merseyside football tournament.
The Chess team – dubbed the Chess Knights (pictured) – won the competition, played against teams of Barclays corporate banking customers from the north-west, in aid of the Prince's Trust.
The event raised £16,000.
Mark Cunliffe, financial controller at Alderley Edge-based Chess and team captain, said: "Winning the tournament is the icing on the cake but to help such an inspirational charity is the real prize."
