Dutch distributor Xeptor opens UK office

End-of-life hardware business expansion focuses on UK opportunity

Leiden, Netherlands-based end-of-life and refurbished hardware distributor Xeptor IT has opened an office in Milton Keynes.

According to a statement from the distributor, the company has been operating in the Netherlands since 2002, specialising in supplying resellers with end-of-life, new, and refurbished desktops, notebooks, screens and printers. More recently, it has begun supplying servers, storage and networking kits as well.

"Xeptor IT Distribution has established stable and profitable growth of 30 per cent year on year in the past three years," it said. "Part of the growth comes from expansion into countries such as Belgium, Germany, Spain and Sweden as well as continuous growth in the Netherlands."

The firm has appointed former Vision Computer sales and purchasing manager John Kennedy as its UK country manager, who will oversee a UK team of five.

A local office will serve customers better, according to Xeptor, although it will also be looking to forge new relationships with UK resellers. The firm believes it has become increasingly important to extend PC life cycles, standardise kit and lower costs, and it aims to help VARs offer that to their customers.

Xeptor is a hardware overstock distributor for HP, IBM, Acer, Dell and Lenovo, buying "nearly all" its distribution and factory overstock from such brands. It has an 8,000-square metre warehouse and 270 staff spread across six EU countries.
