Trustmarque lobs Snow at NHS trusts
VAR inks deal with SAM vendor following distribution of last National Enterprise Agreements
Trustmarque has inked a deal to supply asset management technology to NHS trusts left to fend for themselves following the health sector's recent procurement shake-up.
The York-based LAR has signed an exclusive agreement with Snow Software to provide trusts across the UK with tools and support for managing their software estates.
The NHS-exclusive deal will offer special rates on Enterprise Subscription Agreements for Snow's asset management technologies Snow Licence Manager and Snow Inventory, explained Trustmarque.
Kevin Trinkwon, practice lead of managed licence services at Trustmarque, said he hoped 150-250 of the UK's 700 NHS trusts would adopt the technology.
"The last batch of licences from the National Enterprise Agreements have been distributed, and control has been placed in the hands of the local trusts and institutions," he said.
"Under the central agreements, trusts have never had to worry about licence management around their desktop estate. Now that control has been passed to the trusts, it is imperative that NHS organisations understand and optimise their software assets now and for the future."
Snow's asset management tools are designed to give organisations a better understanding of their software assets, enabling them to re-harvest unused licences and deploy software assets where they are needed most.
Trustmarque said it will assist with the set-up and technical deployment of Snow's solutions, as well as providing consultancy services. It will also provide a managed licence service, using the Snow technologies to manage trusts' software estates on their behalf.
