Fujitsu helps channel flush out year-end PC budgets

Resellers can target public sector spending bonanza in run-up to 31 March with desktop and laptop discounts of up to 18 per cent

Fujitsu has unveiled some aggressive desktop and laptop discounts to help its resellers cash in on the upcoming public sector budget dump.

Under the promotion, resellers can offer up to 18 per cent discounts on selected Esprimo desktops and 12 per cent discounts on selected Lifebook notebooks in the run-up to 31 March.

Fujitsu recently introduced a similar promotion to help partners flush out server budgets among public sector customers as their year end draws near.

Craig Parker, head of product marketing at Fujitsu UK&I's Technology Products Group, argued that many are ready to upgrade their estate but need an added push.

"Fujitsu and its partner network are strong in the public sector but with the cuts that all departments and authorities have to make, it is going to make all the difference if we can offer them even better value," he said.

Available discounts work on a sliding scale, kicking in for deals of 10 units and reaching the maximum level at 25-plus for Esprimo desktops and 140-plus units for Lifebook laptops, Fujitsu said.
