HDS rolls out zero-per-cent financing scheme
Storage vendor introduces leasing initiative to ease financial burden of IT upgrades
Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) has launched a zero-per-cent financing scheme for SMBs that spend up to £200,000 on IT systems containing at least 70 per cent of the vendor's products.
At least 60 per cent of the HDS part of the deployment must be hardware-based if it is to qualify.
In a statement, the vendor said the aim of the HDS Smart Lease 0% Financing initiative is to make it easier for SMBs to access IT products and support services.
Harvey Smith, UK and Ireland channel director at HDS, said: "As every business knows, maximising operational efficiency and employee productivity depends on having the right technology at the right time.
"However, technology upgrades can leave users struggling to balance the books in many cases, especially smaller businesses ... and this is our solution."
Clifford Fox, managing director of HDS partner Invicta IT, welcomed the scheme.
"In the current climate, it is incredibly important for our customers to be in total control of their costs, especially those that might be struggling to grow their businesses," said Fox.
"This [scheme] means our customers have the financial flexibility to buy hardware which they might not have been able to afford otherwise, but at no risk to us since we still receive the total sales revenue."
