Kelway prescribes RES to soothe NHS Trust's login woes
VAR forges closer ties with Aintree NHS Foundation Trust through desktop management software rollout
VAR Kelway has been enlisted by Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to oversee the rollout of RES Software's workspace management product to 3,500 of its staff.
The vendor's Dynamic Desktop Studio offering will provide the Trust's staff with access to their own personal desktop settings regardless of where they log into the system from.
It is claimed the deployment will reduce login times and improve user experience because the Trust's staff will always have access to the applications and services they need.
In a statement to ChannelWeb, Lee Randall, RES Software's head of sales for the UK and Ireland, set out Kelway's involvement in the project.
"RES Software worked closely with Kelway to leverage their existing relationship with the client to assist with the commercial fulfilment," said Randall.
"[Kelway] constructed a finance package to assist Aintree NHS [and] RES continue to assist Kelway with the technical implementation at the client site."
Ward Priestman, director of ICT services at the Trust, said: "Our clinical staff are dependent upon information technology and work in a time-sensitive environment [so] the time taken to access resources is critical.
"They work across all areas of the campus and it was important that the time taken to log into PCs did not hinder staff supplying the best possible patient care."
