Intrinsic Technology launches appeal to save toddler

Help sought from the IT channel to send three-year-old abroad for treatment

Convergence specialist Intrinsic Technology has announced an appeal to help the three-year-old daughter of its technical architect, Richard Saunders.

Saunders' daughter, Amelia (pictured, with the rest of the family), was last month diagnosed with a brain tumour, which doctors in the UK have said is inoperable.

However, an experimental treatment is under development in the United States and the Saunders are trying desperately to raise the funds for her treatment in the US.

"After being told nothing could be done, her family investigated alternative treatments and found the Burzynski Clinic in Houston prepared to offer Amelia alternative antineoplaston therapy," said an Intrinsic representative in a press statement.

"Richard's colleagues have set up a fund to send Amelia and her family on a princess-themed holiday, and are now seeking to help the family raise the £200,000 needed for the treatment."

Donations are being gratefully accepted at the dedicated Amelia's Miracle website here, or on a Just Giving page at this location.
