C2000 enlists former Dell man to helm sales

Martin Boyce set to fill vacant sales director slot starting next month

Distributor Computer 2000 (C2000) has hired former Dell director Martin Boyce as its new sales director, ChannelWeb understands.

The role has stood vacant since Peter Hubbard was promoted to the managing director position in January when previous broom Andy Gass was handed a wider European remit at parent company Tech Data.

According to whispers, Boyce will take up the post on 9 April.

Boyce worked at Dell between 1988 and 2010, spending 11 of those years in director-level roles. For the last year, he has been working for Asbis, one of eastern Europe's largest distributors.

Hubbard, who joined C2000 less than a year ago, also worked for Dell, for 11 years.
C2000 was unavailable for comment.
